What is it like and what does the new VinFast VF 3 offer…?
According to VinFast's official press release, the VF 3 boasts a "compact and contemporary design ." The brand states that it is designed for the local market, while also explaining that it has been conceived to meet the needs of a "wide range of applications and operating environments." The exterior measures 3,11 meters in length , and the body has only three doors; however, the brand indicates that it offers ample space for five passengers and their luggage.
Looking at its bodywork, we can describe it as geometric and cubic . It's full of straight lines that break up at the wheel arches and headlights. There's also a grille that, from a distance, resembles that of the Suzuki Jimny, although it incorporates the VinFast logo with its characteristic chrome wings. Sixteen-inch alloy wheels cover the wheel arches , revealing the generous ground clearance.
Being an off-road vehicle, it features front and rear bumpers fully protected by black plastic moldings . These extend along the wheel arches and lower body to minimize any and all damage that might occur while driving off-road. As for options, there is a wide range of colors which, according to the brand, further enhances customization for each customer.
Inside, the VinFast VF 3 boasts a minimalist design . The photos published by the brand don't show it in detail, as it looks more like a rendering than an image of a final model. In any case, the design is simple and structured like a three-tiered amphitheater to offer a greater sense of space . Its creators indicate that the user experience is comfortable because all the smart features have been integrated…
Really, will it be the same or better than the Suzuki Jimny…?
In terms of design , the VinFast VF 3 is a complete success, as it's not a copy of the Suzuki Jimny . It has that unique touch that other rival brands haven't been able to achieve in their models. The question is, what is its trunk capacity? Given its exterior dimensions, its interior space would likely be just as limited, or perhaps even worse. Regarding technology, the brand only states that it's powered by an electric drivetrain.
Its power and battery capacity are also, for now, a complete mystery. The brand indicates that it will be sold in Eco and Plus versions and will have an affordable price to attract the masses. All this while offering a safe, convenient, and intelligent transportation solution that will make it the new "national vehicle" for the Vietnamese people. So, if you like it, don't wait to see it in Europe, and besides, it might not be up to our standards...
