The Nightfall Edition version of the Kia Seltos provides more endowment and character

Kia Seltos Nightfall Edition

The Kia Seltos was one of the South Korean automaker's biggest bets for the American market. Its official debut took place at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show, and since then, its sales have only continued to grow . The problem is that the number of rivals it has to compete with in the market keeps increasing. So, the Asian firm's US division didn't hesitate and decided to offer a new special edition…

This is how the Kia Seltos Nightfall Edition was born . As is customary in this country, around the midpoint of the calendar year, brands typically unveil the versions for the following year. Therefore, this edition is slated to launch in 2022. However, we can already reveal its key features , those it will use to capture the attention of customers looking for an SUV that bridges the gap between the B and C segments.

The Kia Seltos Nightfall Edition adds more endowment and slight aesthetic improvements

Looking at its body design , the Seltos Nightfall Edition doesn't undergo major changes. However, if the customer chooses the all-wheel-drive (AWD) version, it adds some unique decorative elements. Among the most notable are the 18-inch matte black alloy wheels and the black grille, which, in this case, lacks the chrome inserts. It also includes roof rails and more robust side steps.

Inside, there are also changes, especially in terms of equipment, which has become more comprehensive. Except in the LX trim, the 10,25-inch central touchscreen with UVO connectivity and remote keyless entry will be standard. Automatic climate control is another new feature included from 2022. Moving up to the SX AWD trim, the Seltos Nightfall Edition offers a flat-bottom steering wheel and a plum-colored interior.

Ultimately, the most significant improvement is in active driver assistance systems . The arrival of this Nightfall Edition means the addition, as standard, of features such as collision avoidance assist and pedestrian detection. Lane keeping assist , lane following assist, lane departure warning, driver attention alert, and automatic high beam activation are also included.

Pricing for this special edition Kia Seltos is now available in the US. Order books will open imminently, with the aim of delivering the first units to customers before the end of the year.
