at the beginning of the month Toyota officially unveiled the third generation of its best-selling model, the Auris (in other countries of the world it maintains the denomination Corolla). The place chosen for it was the recently celebrated International Geneva Motor Show, because Europe is one of the main markets for this model, and above all, now that they have decided to leave diesel mechanics behind, to further enhance their hybrid engines.
However, it has not been until now that it opens its doors on New York International Auto Show who have decided to release new official images in which we can see, among other details, what the lines will be like that will shape your interior. The style lines are very simple, since they present a almost symmetrical but without falling into the boredom that this type of design usually entails.
What is most striking is the arrangement of its multifunction digital display with eight inches in size, as it crowns the dashboard in a more harmonic way than does the also recent C-H. The arrangement of the different controls, among which are those of the bi-zone climate control, occupy a suitable location as they are distributed logically between the dashboard and the steering wheel.
To level technological the most important novelties that the third generation of the Toyota Auris focus on the latest driving aids. Among them is the package Toyota Safety Sense which will include things like headlights with Full LED technology, lane departure warning, emergency braking, traffic jam assist, adaptive cruise control or automatic parking assistant.
Other technological elements that will place it at the same level as its rivals focus on a renewed infotainment system with integrated navigation that will allow access to multiple mobile applications, wireless charging for smartphones, various USB sockets, Bluetooth, hands-free access and start or light and rain sensors.
Por último, la mechanical range With which its arrival on the European market is planned, it will be formed, as we already anticipated, by three gasoline mechanics, two of them hybrids. The first is the well-known four-cylinder engine Turbo 1.2 of 115 CV that already equips the current generation of the Auris. The hybrid family will be formed by the well-known 1.8HSD and the new 2.0HSD that will yield 122 and 180 CV respectively.
