Toyota has updated its iconic Corolla with a restyling which is currently arriving at dealerships. The Japanese compact, a great success in our country and throughout the world, has received a subtle facelift to keep it fresh for its second half of its life cycle in this generation, the twelfth. And it is that, we remember, it is one of the longest-lived and best-selling cars on the entire planet since its first launch in the mid-60s.

As the current model was working really well both aesthetically and behaviorally, the Japanese brand did not want to significantly change its Toyota Corolla in this restyling. It is a sensible decision, following that saying of “if something works, don't touch it too much". Its exterior aesthetics, the multimedia system and the engines have been timidly revised.

Compact, family and sedan, with 140 and 196 CV

The 2023 Toyota Corolla continues to be offered in three body styles, which are compact in size. 5 doors, The familiar Sports Tourer and the least demanded three volumes called Sedan. In Spain only sold with two non-plug-in hybrid engines, always resorting to the automatic transmission e-CVT and the simple traction in the front axle.

The fifth generation of Toyota's hybrid engines reaches the Corolla increasing total power, improving performance and reducing polluting emissions and fuel consumption. We have two options, the 140H and the 200H. The first uses a hybrid system with a 1.8-liter heat engine, yielding a combined power of 140 CV. For its part, the 200H has a 2.0-liter gasoline engine and, together with the electrical part, generates a maximum power of 196 CV.

2023 Toyota Corolla Prices

Regarding the Prices, the Toyota Corolla has a starting price of 29.200 euros for the Business 140H variant of the 5-door body. The familiar Touring Sports starts at 31.300 euros and the Sedan does the same at 30.200 euros. These, like the prices that we leave you below, are without discounts, which can exceed 5.000 euros in certain versions. Thus, the starting price can be reduced to 24.350 euros.
