The Toyota Auris is updated by loading the diesel and gasoline versions

During the past Geneva Motor Show, held in March, the Japanese brand presented the new toyota auris. It is a generational change, although still it will take a few months to arrive to dealers, which will bring more technology and efficiency than ever to the compact model. However, and to keep the sales values ​​of the Auris in good data, Toyota presents a slight update for your current model.

In fact, during the first four months of this year 2018 it stands as the fifth best-selling model in its category in Spain. This slight update with changes in equipment will give you the final push until the new generation hits the market.

Only in hybrid version

As the title of this article says, the Toyota Auris says goodbye to diesel and gasoline engines, offering only and exclusively with hybrid mechanics (not pluggable and with a gasoline thermal engine) that has given so many sales to the model. As you know, this hybrid variant, thanks to the support of the electric motor, develops 136 hp.

Toyota sticks to its idea of focus on hybrid mechanics, progressively eliminating the diesel engines and more slowly the versions that only use gasoline for propulsion; risky strategy but that has already worked for them in other vehicles such as the Toyota C-HR.

In any case, the generational change that is yet to come will offer a gasoline version, completely leaving aside the diesel mechanics.

Price and equipment

These changes affect both the five-door body and the familiar Touring Sports, which have starting prices of 18.440 and 19.440 euros respectively.

Regarding the equipments, will be offered with four levels: Business, Active, Feel! Edition and Advance. All of them include as standard 7 airbags, comfort seats, hill start assist, climate control, cruise control, power windows on all four windows, alloy wheels and multifunction steering wheel in nappa leather. Except in the Business finish -which is focused on company fleets- we must add the Toyota Safety Sense, the set of driving aids and active safety systems.
