We still don't know what will happen in Europe, but the new Mitsubishi Outlander has already gone on sale in countries as diverse as the United States. This market has been one of its strongest, attracting the most customers across its various generations. However, the number of competitors it faces has grown, and Mitsubishi doesn't want to lose its popularity and sales.

So, before it's even been a year in the country, they've decided to take things a step further and introduce a special edition. It's the new Mitsubishi Outlander Black Edition , which they're presenting these days. We also can't overlook another small detail. Their lineup in the United States is somewhat outdated, as evidenced by the RVR, which in Europe is known as the ASX. So pay attention, because with a few minor improvements, its appearance is quite noticeable…

As you can see, there's only one photo of the Mitsubishi Outlander Black Edition . The three-diamond brand didn't deem more necessary, so we'll have to make do with this. In any case, it's more than enough to see the added aesthetic improvements. First, there are the black trim pieces on the front and rear bumpers, the black door handle moldings , and the black exterior mirrors.

To complement these changes, it adds 20-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels , also in black. Inside, there are also changes, although we can't see them. It does, however, match the black-finished pillars. This is the new headliner they've used . And that's all we can say, and it seems like a lot, since Mitsubishi's design team started with the SE trim level sold in the US.

Furthermore, the mechanical components remain unchanged. It is equipped with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 125 kW (170 hp) and 245 Nm of torque . Power is managed by a continuously variable transmission (CVT) that sends power to all four wheels. Therefore, it comes standard with the Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) system , which also includes Active Yaw Control (AYC).

For now, we don't know what will happen or if it will arrive in Europe, but what is clear is that the evolution of the new Outlander has been exponential . Hopefully, they'll remember us…
