At this point there is little doubt that the best on-road charging network for electric vehicles is that of Tesla. Elon Musk's company and its supercharger network It is not only that they have powerful and fast charging points, but that they are in key points of the world geography and, in addition, they have a high reliability rate.
Many of us thought a few years ago that the Supercharger network would not be too extensive in Spain, where it must be recognized that the depth of electric cars is minimal compared to thermal cars. We are wrong, because the truth is that No. they stop expanding the stations and poles of cargo in our country. Currently they are 721 superchargers at 76 different stations.
Clearly traveling in a thermal car is much easier, since we have many more points to refuel with gasoline or diesel than to charge an electric car; Just as we fill the tank in just over two minutes and with an electric vehicle it takes much longer, generally offering less autonomy, which implies more stops and more downtime.
But returning to the previous point, the Tesla's network of charging points is making life and travel much easier for electric car owners; even more so to those who are clients of the American company. This is where the Californian company excels, also on Spanish roads.
Putting the data on the table, so far in 2024 Tesla has put into operation 12 new stations with 112 posts 250 kW of power. In addition, it has expanded 7 existing ones, with 40 more 250 kW positions. This means that in August it has already exceeded the number of new positions from previous years.
As we have seen in numerous electric vehicle tests that we have carried out, Tesla's network is very efficient and fast, also maintaining an adjusted price if we compare it with other energy suppliers in their fast charging points.
