Tesla will present the Model 3 for Europe at the Goodwood Festival

Tesla Model 3 Four Wheel Drive

On the 28th of this month, it will be exactly one year since the first 30 Tesla Model 3s were delivered to their owners. During this time, the American company has faced practically everything: from bottlenecks and employees who were spying on the factory floor to the installation of an additional assembly line in the factory yard. However, after all these problems, they have finally managed to reach a production rate of 5 units per week.

The units sold so far correspond to those specified for the American market , as is logical and normal, the demand Tesla is currently meeting is that of its home market. After the United States come Europe and Asia (with China and Japan leading the way), and this is why the brand has made its latest announcement.

Tesla Model 3

According to a Tesla Inc. representative , the Model 3 will be unveiled with its technical specifications for the European market next week. The chosen venue is significant, as the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK is just days away. In addition to classic and modern racing cars, the festival will showcase new high-end models, including the Model 3.

Following this launch event, Model 3 sales are expected to begin in Europe sometime next year . The reason for presenting the model now is related to Tesla's need to boost morale among its numerous investors in the region. Furthermore, it's important to consider that countries like Germany , the Netherlands, and Norway account for a significant number of sales, so maintaining anticipation among customers in these countries is crucial.

It remains to be seen how Tesla will manage to launch the Model 3 in our market, given that it still has 400 orders to fulfill in the United States. If they can reach 6 units produced per week, they could resolve this bottleneck within a year. The problem will lie in the number of orders registered in Europe, which are expected to be high, potentially creating another significant challenge, as their factory is not yet equipped to meet that demand.
