The Californian company Scarbo Vintage has designed and built the SV Rover, the first street-legal hyper-off-road vehicle. This 4×4 vehicle, inspired by the Land Rover Defender, is designed to tackle complicated trails and traverse desert terrain at high speeds. In addition, it has some tints that may remind us of Jeep or Hummer itself, but with many new features despite its appearance.
The SV Rover combines Iconic design references with modern performance and extreme off-road capability. Despite its vintage aesthetic, it has modern technology both in its interior and in its construction. Its body is made of carbon fiber and aluminum, and it mounts 20-inch wheels and 40-inch all-terrain tires.
The vehicle is equipped with six-piston Brembo brakes and 400mm carbon ceramic discs, as well as a pneumatic suspension that allows the height of the vehicle to be adjusted by 76 centimeters. And it is available in two mechanical versions:
- Supercharged V8 engine with 1.115 HP of power.
- 100% electric that develops 1.020 HP of power and has a 75 kWh battery.
The interior of the SV Rover has a infotainment system with a 12,3-inch screen and a central screen with a 12,8-inch multimedia system. It also offers amenities such as climate control, electric windows, push-button start, aluminum details and Alcantara materials. Everything to have maximum comfort during your off-road or asphalt routes.
The price of the SV Rover has no official data to go by, but it is estimated that each unit will cost around 1,5 million dollars, or almost 1,4 million euros at the exchange rate. Without a doubt, a high price, despite how impressive the Scarbo Vintage car may seem... It has really impressive figures, but there are very capable all-terrain vehicles on complicated terrain and that cost much less than what this vehicle costs.
