Skoda just entered in the Spanish configurator of your model Octavia sports variants. yes, the successful ones Skoda Octavia RS they are back, both in the saloon bodywork and in the Combi family. At the moment there are only two mechanical versions. On one side we have the traditional motor 2.0 TSI and, on the other, the new plug-in hybrid TSI IV PHEV.
For the first time the Skoda Octavia RS can be requested with a plug-in hybrid mechanics. It consists of a 1.4 TSI gasoline engine, which is combined with a powerful electric motor. Together they develop 245 CV. It is always linked to the six-speed DSG dual-clutch gearbox. It is available in both bodies. Will it succeed or will the traditional engine continue to dominate?
In the case of mechanical gasoline, as we mentioned, uses the usual 2.0 TSI engine, in its version of 245 CV. The torque is 370 Nm, being available between 1.600 and 4.300 rpm. It is also linked to a dual-clutch transmission. However, in this variant it has seven ratios, instead of six.

As you can see in the table above, the starting price for the Skoda Octavia RS is 33.755 euros. This version corresponds to the 2.0 TSI engine and the sedan body, which is five doors. If we want the family bodywork Combi we have to pay 34.305 euros. The difference is from just 550 euros, so it may be interesting to bet on that more practical bodywork.
In the case of the plug-in hybrid, the Skoda Octavia RS iV PHEV part of the 36.200 euros. If we jump to the Octavia RS iV PHEV Combi we go to 36.750 euros. Although it is more expensive and, probably, because it is heavier, it loses driving sensations, we benefit from the Zero Emissions label and all its advantages.
