You can now buy the Seat Ibiza FR 40 Anniversary: ​​it is not cheap, but it is interesting

A couple of months ago we were in Barcelona, ​​discovering a new special edition for the best-selling model in the entire history of thea Spanish brand, Seat Ibiza. In this month of April they are 40 years old since the first generation of the iconic utility vehicle hit the streets.

Seat has not missed the opportunity to create a commemorative series, which is called Seat Ibiza FR 40th Anniversary. We already knew the main equipment details, but it was not until now that orders were opened.

Specific details and engines available

As is often the case in special editions, this finish has specific details both exterior and interior, as well as a high level of equipment. It goes without saying that part of the FR ending, which is always synonymous with sportsmanship.

If we talk about engines, this new Seat Ibiza FR 40 Anniversary is offered with three mechanical versions. The most accessible option is 1.0 TSI 115 hp with 6-speed manual transmission. This same engine can be combined with a 7-speed DSG transmission. The top of the range is the 1.5 TSI 150 hp, a four-cylinder that is obligatorily linked to the DSG transmission.
