There are the companies that decide to walk alone, like Suzuki or Mazda, those that decide merge to create a single industry group under which to protect themselves, in the style of the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) Group and then there are the alliances, like the one formed by Renault and Nissan, and to which Mitsubishi was assigned after becoming the property of the latter.

Until then, with logical agreements, the signature of the three diamonds had walked the world alone. However the economic wear that dragged, drop in sales and the trick he made to standardize his emissions forced him to fall into the hands of Nissan. As a result of all these situations, the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance, and thanks to this, the first manufacturer in the world ahead of the Volkswagen Group and Toyota in the past year.
