The factory of Renault in Valladolid, one of the most important in Spain and Europe, reached a historic milestone by producing, last March 8th 2023, its 8 millionth vehicle since its inauguration in 1972. The car in question was Renault Captur E-TECH (145 CV) in blue with a black roof whose client is also Spanish.
This fact was immortalized in a photograph (the one that heads this article) that had the presence of various managers of the French brand, both locally and internationally, in addition to many employees and directors of the factory, as well as the Iberia Vehicle Industrial Pole.
Since its opening more than half a century ago, the Valladolid plant has produced a total of 19 Renault models, starting with the R8 and continuing with others such as the R5, R7, R12, R18, R9, R4, R11, R19, Clio, Twingo, Modus, Twizy and Captur. The latter has been, in view of the sales figures, a great success for Renault. It is a utility-sized SUV with a good degree of technology and an attractive design.

The boss of the Castilian-Leonese factory, Jose Manuel Fuentes, together with the heads of the French multinational and more than 200 workers, celebrated the construction of this emblematic unit. Sources highlighted the progress in the quality and competitiveness of Renault Valladolid, whose cars are exported to more than 40 destinations on five continents.
The more than 2 million examples of the Captur assembled so far show that this manufacturer has a competitive and profitable car. Renault thanks its staff for the daily effort to maintain the level of quality of the vehicles produced in Valladolid and urges to continue with the same enthusiasm to face future challenges.
From Actualidad Motor we moved Our congratulations to the entire Renault Spain team and we sincerely hope that sooner rather than later we can congratulate them again on getting 8 million more units off their domestic assembly lines.
