The Porsche Panamera is one of the most iconic premium sedans in the F segment . And not just because it has a spectacular appearance, which it certainly does, but because it offers a combination of dynamism, class, quality, and luxury that is beyond the reach of many of its theoretical rivals. Proof of its importance lies in the fact that a new generation is coming very soon , and its developers are putting it through rigorous testing under the most demanding conditions.
Porsche has evolved considerably in recent years , and the next Panamera will be no exception. One of the areas its engineers have focused on most is electrification, resulting in a range that will give environmentally conscious drivers plenty of reasons to choose it. But beyond that, its design, level of finish, and the technology that powers it will also evolve. And now, to whet our appetites for its launch, they've released these spy photos.
It will come with four E-Hybrid variants and a new suspension with active damping control…

As we mentioned earlier, Porsche engineers are heavily focused on electrification. And the Panamera they are developing will expand its powertrain options with new E-Hybrid versions . Until now, three were available to customers, but a new one will be added with the upcoming model. For now, the details of these versions are under wraps, but the press release published by the brand contains clues indicating what their improvements will be.
The new E-Hybrids will feature a new, more powerful electric motor integrated into the new dual-clutch automatic transmission. Power will be supplied by a 25,9 kWh high-voltage lithium-ion battery . An 11 kW onboard charger will be available, which the company claims will shorten charging times despite the increased battery capacity.
Regarding the internal combustion engines, they indicate that they have been revised and offer improved efficiency and performance . In fact, they point out that they are ready for future emissions regulations. Finally, the new Panamera will also debut a high-tech chassis with active damping control. The key lies in the new two-valve shock absorbers that regulate compression and rebound independently.
The new generation of the Porsche Panamera will debut at the Porsche Icons festival (Dubai), on November 24…

We learned about all these new developments because Porsche published a press release detailing the progress of the new Panamera's development. In recent weeks, their engineers and technicians have been conducting test drives in Spain . To be more precise, they are in Barcelona, and this time they are focusing on all the aspects we mentioned earlier. The official press release explains it as follows…
"These final tests focus on the propulsion system , which includes a new PDK transmission , and on the new chassis with active damping control ."
However, these aren't the only validation tests the Panamera has undergone before its official launch. In the US, the engines' performance was tested at high altitudes, and the engine cooling and air conditioning systems were verified under extreme heat . It has also passed through South Africa, Scandinavia, and Asia, with its last stop being Dubai on November 24th. But there's still more to come…
