The Peugeot Partner is renewed including the i-Cockpit

Peugeot Partner front

I'm sure you remember the " vans " from a few years ago. I'm talking about the Renault Kangoo, Citroën Berlingo, or Peugeot Partner. Things have changed a lot in recent years, as those were rugged vehicles primarily intended for manual labor, offering no comfort to the driver or passengers. But as I said, all that has changed.

The new Peugeot Partner has just been officially unveiled, and the leap forward is simply remarkable. It will arrive on the market in November with a new platform, cleaner engines, greater comfort, a host of technology, and several active safety and driver assistance systems. Despite this, it remains a commercial vehicle, while the Peugeot Rifter retains its family-oriented focus as a passenger car.

The visual changes to the new Peugeot Partner are significant. The front end inherits the familiar styling of the French brand's passenger car range, though without going as far as the Rifter's aesthetic, aiming to attract customers not only for its functionality or competitive price, but also for its appealing design . However, the changes to the side and rear are much less pronounced.

Peugeot Partner interior design

Another of the most notable new features of the new generation Partner is its interior . Undoubtedly, the main and most striking change is the introduction of the renowned Peugeot i-Cockpit , the driving position comprised of a small steering wheel and a raised instrument panel that sits above the steering wheel. The central touchscreen is up to 8 inches . Without a doubt, everything looks much more elegant than before.

There are two body styles of different lengths . The shorter one is called Standard and measures 4,40 meters, allowing it to carry objects up to 1,81 meters long. The Long version measures 4,75 meters and has a usable length of 2,16 meters. The cargo volume also increases, naturally, to up to 4,4 cubic meters. The maximum payload capacity varies between 650 and 1.000 kilograms depending on the version.

Regarding the available engines , there are two gasoline options, with 110 and 130 hp, and three diesel options, producing 75, 100, and 130 hp. Different versions are available , varying in equipment and construction depending on their intended use. For example, the Grip variant offers greater capabilities for off-road driving (increased ground clearance, Mud & Snow tires, Advanced Grip Control, etc.), while the Asphalt is designed for those who will be working long hours in their vehicle, offering greater comfort (improved sound insulation, cruise control and speed limiter, 8-inch touchscreen, etc.).

Peugeot Partner rear

In terms of equipment , the new Peugeot Partner can be equipped with an electric parking brake, adaptive cruise control, speed limit recognition, lane departure warning, driver fatigue detection, automatic emergency braking , trailer stability control, automatic high beams, blind spot monitoring, and keyless entry and start. In addition, it features two USB ports, wireless phone charging, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.
