There's a lot of anticipation surrounding what Bentley is up to . Just a few days ago, the Crewe-based firm took the plunge and released a teaser video that left us wanting more. As we explained, it was nothing more than a video clip that barely showed what appeared to be the interior panel of a door . To complete the picture, there was a still image that seemed to confirm this assumption, as well as hinting at a lot of technology…
Well, just so we don't forget that Bentley will soon unveil its fifth model, they've released a new image . And not only that, they've accompanied it with a message that has left us thoughtful and speechless. And watch out, because if they're right, their rivals will have to step up their game, as everything points to them wanting to rewrite, in capital letters, the meaning of the word comfort . Take note, because if you have the money, you might just pay for this "seat"...
According to Bentley, its new model will have "the most advanced seat ever installed in a car"...
Yes, because according to the press release published by Bentley, their new model will include the best seats in the world . In fact, they explain it this way…
"Available configurations will include the new Bentley Airline Seat specification . The most advanced seat ever fitted to a car, it offers 22 ways to adjust and world firsts in a new automatic climate-sensing system and advanced postural adjustment technology with 177 possible individual pressure changes across six zones."
But beyond the brand-new first-class seats, there will be top-of-the-line technology. A prime example is the Bentley Diamond Illumination ambient lighting system , which emits light through tiny 1-millimeter diameter perforations in the leather-trimmed door panels. Complementing this is the Diamond Quilting design pattern , reimagined in a dramatic and contemporary new style.
Finally, they close their press release with this message …
"With an added dimension of onboard well-being, the new model will sit at the top of its range with sumptuous comfort and offer a variety of capabilities and configurations that go beyond what was previously offered."
Perhaps this confirms that they're working on an extended-battlement Bentayga . Even so, we'll have to wait until May 10th to see it in person. Especially since they insist it's a completely new model and not a rehash. So, patience...
