Thanks to the electrification of the automotive sector, we are witnessing an industry renaissance . Perhaps the most established brands don't see it that way, but this paradigm shift is giving other entrepreneurs the opportunity to launch their projects. The clearest example is Tesla and all the new companies that are emerging in the wake of its success. In Spain, we already have one called Lupa, and it seems to have very serious intentions for someone so young.
But our country will fall short if they want a long-term future. And that's where things will get complicated, as they'll have to compete with brands like Olymp Cars . This brand is the latest arrival in the sector and, moreover, it has a European passport, since its headquarters are located in Vienna, Austria. Take note of the new features they plan to present, because if their plans go as expected, they could really make a splash. You'll see…
The first Olymp Cars model is called Hermes, it is one hundred percent electric and has a range of 700 kilometers...

Olymp Cars has apparently developed a modular electric vehicle platform called Hephaistos . They will build their family of models on this platform, spanning almost every segment. The first to be released will be the Hermes . This "Transporter" boasts a range of up to 700 kilometers and uses the same technology as the Ares . The Ares is an all-terrain vehicle that straddles the D and E segments.
This is because it reaches 4,8 meters in length and its battery provides at least 600 kilometers of range. According to the brand, this figure can be achieved in urban and off-road driving. They also indicate that it will have fast charging from 10% to 80% in 20 minutes . The second and third models from Olymp Cars are the Athena and Apollon . These are two mid-range and upper mid-range sedans, which will also have a Shooting Brake version.
The technical specifications will be identical to those described for the Ares SUV. The Selene completes the lineup . This urban city car, they explain, is designed to appeal to the residents of the city. Finally, they will also enter the "Family Van" segment with the Hera and the pickup truck segment with the Artemis . Both, they explain, are already in full development.
If this offensive seems like too much, Olymp Cars has announced that these electric models will have hydrogen -powered versions . The first ones should roll off the assembly line sometime in 2023 at the factory they claim to have in their home country. We'll have to see if they're serious, because so far we haven't seen a single prototype. All good things come to those who wait…
