Little by little, Stellantis is shaping all the future plans it has devised in recent months . Its brands need a thorough update which, as is the norm, goes in two directions. First, electrification, and second, launching SUVs left and right. The two latest examples of what they are technically capable of are the Maserati Grecale and the Alfa Romeo Tonale . But there will be more, especially considering the latter…

Yes, because the Tonale will mark a turning point for two of the brands that make up Stellantis. First and foremost, Alfa Romeo itself, but also Dodge. As you know, the former Ram brand is going through a somewhat lean period because its lineup is quite limited. But that will be remedied in a few months, and as you also know, it will arrive from Europe. It's the new Dodge Hornet that we've been talking about for some time now.

The Dodge Hornet should see the light, and reach the market, before the end of 2022...

New Alfa Romeo Tonale Veloce

We call it the new Dodge Hornet, but you'll remember that this project is quite old . So old, in fact, that it first saw the light of day back in 2006 when Chrysler LLC was still partnered with its former ally, Daimler AG. However, everything went wrong when the Germans abandoned them, leaving the Americans high and dry. The fact is, Stellantis has managed to give it a modern twist, updating it and bringing it into the present with subtle changes.

So many people are saying the future Hornet will be a rebadged Tonale . At least that's what we've been able to glean in recent weeks thanks to spy photos leaked on Instagram and other social media. Well, knowing what was coming, Dodge hasn't confirmed its plans until now . Apparently, Tim Kuniskis, CEO of Dodge, made some interesting statements while introducing the brand's new ambassadors.
