Next March 2023, British adventurer Chris Ramsey will embark on the world's first all-electric driving expedition from the Magnetic North Pole to the South Pole. To cover more than 27 kilometers across several regions and continents, he will be using the new Nissan Ariya e-4ORCE . The Japanese SUV is expected to be exposed to temperatures ranging from -30°C to 30°C.

Two Nissan Ariya e-4ORCE vehicles will be used for the expedition . The one driven by Ramsey will have a custom exterior design and will be fitted with specific tires and suspension. The second Ariya will be unchanged and will only serve as a support vehicle. The powertrain will also remain the same, being the same as that used in all Ariya vehicles manufactured and sold to the market.
We'll have to see if Ramsey is right. We must remember that the route goes from the Arctic through North, Central, and South America, finally crossing Antarctica . In many areas, there won't be enough charging stations along the necessary distances. It will be there, and only there, where Nissan will prove its technology is the best in the world.
