Toyota has launched a new SUV to compete with the flood of models in this segment. The Toyota Rush is an SUV with a 7-seater version, and what's striking is that the 5-seater version is under 4 meters long.
The Japanese firm has decided to fit it with a 1.5 i 16 valve engine with 80 hp, a bit low for the European market, but adequate in the Asian market where this version has been presented.
The design is very successful outside the car, unlike the interior that is rather austere, designed for functionality with large holes to deposit our belongings.
It's a car designed to be a low-cost SUV, and for that reason, it will be sold in Europe under a different brand name, Terios, although it will have a different engine capable of producing 109 hp. Because of this, the standard equipment is very basic, leaving important features like ABS and ESP as optional extras.
