The official debut of the second-generation Lexus NX is getting closer . Toyota's premium brand has been teasing us for several days with new images showcasing different parts of the model. First, they revealed part of its redesigned tailgate. Later, they released a second image revealing the side of the body. Now, they're back with a third teaser that unveils its wheels.
It's all well and good that they're trying to "buy" our interest with these images. The problem is, as we've mentioned before, the complete design of the upcoming NX was leaked months ago . Even so, we still have doubts about whether those images accurately reflect the final model. The reason for this is that we've discovered some details that don't quite add up . Now, another detail has emerged that contradicts this assumption…
With this latest teaser of the new Lexus NX, the brand wants to retain the expectation before its launch

We're referring to the alloy wheel design . In the latest teaser, the Lexus NX reveals this element along with the left front wheel arch (driver's side). Based on these, we can confirm that the leak was accurate . However, we can't ignore the fact that a model's wheels can have many different designs, and these might be the ones used to throw people off the scent. Add to that the wheel arch protection, and it all makes sense.
In any case, we're just hours away from Toyota's premium brand unveiling the new NX . If all goes according to plan, the event will take place this Friday, and that's when we'll finally know for sure. It's clear that the design of this new generation will be more evolutionary, especially in the side profile and rear. Meanwhile, the front will feature new LED daytime running lights integrated into the main headlights.
The debut of the next generation of the Lexus NX already has an official date
As for its technical aspects, there's little to say. It's highly likely that the new Lexus NX will adopt the same platform as the latest generation of its cousin, the Toyota RAV4 . Thanks to this, it will be able to offer internal combustion engine versions (not sold in Europe), hybrid versions, and plug-in hybrid versions. The latter two are probably the ones that will be sold in Europe, although we won't know for sure until its debut. The wait is almost over…
