One of the most anticipated updates in the compact SUV segment is here.: The new Jeep Compass is now a reality and brings with it significant advances in design, technology, and electrification. After nearly two decades on the market and with more than 2,5 million units sold, the Compass is entering its third generation with a completely updated offering that maintains its off-road heritage. The 2025 Compass is based on the STLA medium platform of the Stellantis group.
A platform that it shares with prominent models such as the Peugeot 3008, Opel Grandland o Citroen C5 Aircross. Thanks to this base, the new Jeep Compass It grows up to 4,55 meters long and gains in habitability, with 55 mm more legroom in the rear seats and a trunk that now reaches 550 liters. In addition, the interior ergonomics have been optimized with 34 liters of storage spaces and solutions such as the 40:20:40 folding rear backrest.
Exterior and interior design: a faithful evolution of the Jeep spirit…
The aesthetics of the Compass evolve but maintain the iconic elements of the brand, such as the seven-slot grille (now closed and illuminated on the electric versions), the trapezoidal wheel arches and a robust silhouette with square lines. The front incorporates Matrix LED headlights, an active grille and reinforced bumpers, while the rear stands out for a horizontal light band that joins the 'C' lights and a backlit logo.
The cockpit takes a huge leap forward in quality and technology. The driver has access to 10-inch digital instrumentation and a 16-inch central touch screen which concentrates all functions with physical controls for the main controls. Connectivity is complete thanks to wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, connected services, and remote (OTA) updates. Among the options, the head up display, the panoramic sunroof and the front seats with massage, heating and ventilation.
Equipment, assistants and finishes…
The new 2025 Jeep Compass incorporates Level 2 driving assistants, such as adaptive cruise control (ACC), active lane keeping, a 360° camera, perimeter sensors, and emergency braking. The standard equipment includes connected services and even the option to use your phone as a key and dual-zone climate control. First Edition special series It will be available with a 145 hp micro-hybrid engine or a 213 hp electric motor, including 20” wheels, Matrix LED headlights, hands-free electric tailgate, Select Terrain system, heated and ventilated seats or panoramic roof, among others.

The new Compass bet on electrified mechanics in EuropeThe range starts with an interesting and renewed version 145 hp microhybrid (MHEV), with 48V technology and ECO label from the DGT. Next to it is the version 195 hp plug-in hybrid (PHEV) which promises up to 80 km of electric autonomy and a ZERO label.
The big news is the 100% electric versions, which will be three: two with front-wheel drive and powers of 213 and 231 HP –the first with a 74 kWh battery and up to 500 km of autonomy–, and an option of 375 hp with all-wheel drive and higher capacity battery, capable of reaching up to 650 km of autonomy according to the WLTP cycleThese electric versions can be recharged at 160 kW rapid charging stations, allowing the vehicle to go from 20% to 80% in half an hour, and have onboard chargers of up to 22 kW.
Off-road capabilities and new off-road heights…
The Compass' off-road heritage is maintained and enhanced. Even in 4×2 versions, the model offers a 200mm ground clearance and outstanding angles (20° approach, 15° ventral and 26° departure). The all-wheel drive variants increase these values up to 210 mm in height and angles of 27°, 16° and 31° respectively, in addition to a 470mm wading capacityThe Select-Terrain system and hill descent control are part of the equipment designed to facilitate off-road driving.
Production, prices and market arrival…
The new Jeep Compass is manufactured at the Melfi plant (Italy), with deliveries planned for the last quarter of 2025 in Europe, and will be expanded to other markets in 2026. Although official prices have not yet been announced, it is estimated that the microhybrid version will have a starting price below 40.000 euros and the all-wheel drive electric variant will exceed 50.000 euros.
This 2025 Compass reflects Jeep's intention to strengthen its position in the compact SUV segment., with a proposal that looks squarely to the electrified future.
