The new Iveco Daily arrives on the European market; light commercial vehicle that presents in this third generation a van brand new designed to meet the tough demands of professional transport. Its manufacturing is carried out in the plants that the Italian brand has in Suzzara (Italy) and in Valladolid, factories in which the company is making significant investments to renew its production lines. It will go on sale starting in June in the Iveco dealer network throughout Europe.
The new Daily retains its classic frame structure and is divided into three versions: chassis cab, van and minibus. This structure is characterized by its hardness, long life and versatility, facilitating the "bodywork" for chassis cab versions. Iveco especially highlights the design effort they have put into the van, which improves in terms of maneuverability and load capacity. This has made it possible to create two new versions of 18 and 20 m3, the best in their segment in terms of cargo volume, and the 11 m3 version, considered the best in terms of cargo efficiency (ratio between the length of the cargo compartment and the length of the entire vehicle).
Thanks to the new architecture, characterized by its elongated wheel arches and reduced rear overhang, the new Daily also achieves a great maneuverability and is agile in tight spaces. All models up to 3.500 kg are equipped with a new front suspension that improves comfort and the maximum permissible load. In addition, the single-wheel models have a redesign in the geometry of the rear suspension that lowers the height of the load plane by 55 mm, thus facilitating loading and unloading operations.
In the comfort section, this third generation of the Daily receives several improvements. Now the passenger compartment, one of the largest in its category, is more comfortable and better soundproofed, also featuring more efficient air conditioning and optimized ride comfort. The 2014 Daily also offers a wide range of engines, gearboxes and wheelbases, with a consumption reduction 5% compared to the previous model.
