Audi renews the 0 Emissions version of one of its most popular models, the Audi A3 Sportback TFSIe plug-in hybrid, which is coming to the Spanish market with important innovations in both technology and autonomy. This model promises to meet the expectations of drivers looking for a combination of performance and electrical efficiency.
With this new release, the four rings brand continues its commitment to electrified vehicles, standing out as one of the leaders in the sector by bringing notable improvements to its new hybrid A3.
New battery capacity and greater electric range
One of the main innovations of Audi A3 Sportback TFSIe 2024 is the significant increase in its electric autonomy. Thanks to the incorporation of a battery of 25,7 kWh gross capacity (19,7 kWh net), almost double that of its predecessor. It can now travel up to 143 kilometers in electric mode, according to the WLTP cycle. This advance makes the A3 Sportback TFSIe an ideal option for urban journeys without having to spend a drop of fuel.
In addition, the increase in autonomy positions it as one of the most competitive plug-in hybrids on the market, surpassing direct rivals such as the Mercedes-Benz A-Class, which offers up to 87 km of autonomy, and is closer to the expectations of drivers who want to reduce their emissions and make much more efficient use of electricity.
Fast charging options
For the first time in an Audi plug-in hybrid, the A3 Sportback TFSIe will offer the possibility of recharge the battery with direct current up to 50 kW, which is more common in pure electric vehicles. Thanks to this improvement, 80% of the battery can be recharged in less than 30 minutes at stations with fast chargers. For those with Wallbox or AC chargers, a full recharge is also possible in just 2,5h with a power of 11 kW.

Two versions with powerful engines

El Audi A3 Sportback TFSIe MY2025 will be available in two different mechanical versions: the 40TFSIe and 45TFSIe. Both include a gasoline engine 1.5 TFSI evo2, which replaces the old 1.4 TFSI in a clear commitment to improve efficiency and reduce emissions. This new engine works in conjunction with an electric motor that delivers 85 kW (114 hp) and a maximum torque of 330 Nm.
Version 40TFSIe offers a total combined power of 204 CV, with an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 7,4 seconds and a maximum speed of 225 km/h, while the most powerful version, the 45TFSIe, increases performance up to 272 CV and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6,3 seconds. Both models can reach up to 140 km/h in electric mode, which allows travel at highway speeds without resorting to combustion.
Improvements in efficiency and technology
One of the great virtues of this new Audi A3 plug-in hybrid is the sophisticated energy management. The system alternates between the electric and combustion engines in a fluid manner depending on the type of driving, always prioritizing electric use in urban or low-speed travel.
In addition, the vehicle incorporates an advanced energy recovery system that is present during braking and deceleration, allowing recover up to 43 kW while driving. This system can be controlled by the paddles located behind the steering wheel, allowing the intensity of energy recovery to be adjusted and efficiency to be maximised in electric mode.
