The automotive sector is one of the most dynamic and daring in the industrial world. Thanks to its adaptability, new brands emerge from time to time , eager to grab a piece of the pie dominated by established companies. One of the latest to join this race is the French company MPM Motors , and to prove they're not just bluffing, they will unveil their first production model at the Paris Motor Show .
The MPM PS160 is an affordable vehicle , but it incorporates the following characteristics to forge its own personality. It features a sedan body with coupé-like styling and five doors, revealed through a bold, wedge-shaped design. Notable features include the sharply angled headlights and, above all, the truncated tailgate that provides access to the trunk (which lacks a rear window wiper).

Externally, it measures 4,68 meters long, 1,86 meters wide, and 1,38 meters high; it also has a wheelbase of 2,75 meters . These proportions place it squarely in the mainstream mid-size sedan segment (Kia Optima, Hyundai i40, Skoda Octavia, etc.). However, thanks to its lightweight chassis (Space Frame), it boasts a final weight of just 1.225 kilograms.
Technically, it's powered by a naturally aspirated four-cylinder gasoline engine manufactured by Mitsubishi (4G18S) . It has a displacement of 1.6 liters and produces 100 hp and a maximum torque of 138 Nm at 3.000 rpm. The associated gearbox is a 5-speed manual that sends power to the front wheels, allowing it to achieve a combined fuel consumption of 7,2 liters per 100 kilometers.
To make the MPM PS160 appealing, the brand's managers have decided to set its starting price at €10 . To offer this price, it's understandable that the interior design, as well as its associated quality and equipment options, are somewhat basic. Therefore, it's not possible to choose between the latest active driving aids or the most modern connectivity systems.
The main standard equipment on the MPM PS160 includes 18-inch alloy wheels, four power windows, a sound system with MP3 and USB auxiliary input, air conditioning , and heated mirrors. Traction and stability control (TCS – ESP), a tire pressure monitoring system, and a navigation system are not currently available .
As we mentioned earlier, its official unveiling will be in October at the Paris Motor Show . In any case, if you're interested in acquiring an MPM PS160 in our country, there are three dealerships that offer them.
