MINI 1499 GT, limited edition for those nostalgic for the 1275 GT

New limited edition mini, this time it is the 1499 GT, a version that recalls the mythical 1275 GT produced since 1969. This new vehicle is called 1499 because this figure will be the one that the British manufacturer will put on the market between next month November and February.

the something less than 1.500 units they raise it to the category of exclusive and, although it will only cost about 17.000 pounds in the British Isles market - just under 20.000 euros - MINI will offer financing plans, something that is not usually very common in this type of car, having taking into account the small number of units to be manufactured.

This special version is based on a standard MINI, although features elements of the sportier variant, the John Cooper Works, from which it adopts 17-inch black alloy wheels called Track Spoke, tinted windows and the sports package that incorporates this version, with specific skirts and front, and a spoiler at the rear.

Getting inside the MINI 1499 GT, we find an interior similar to what we can find in a John Cooper Works, with perforated leather sports seats for better ventilation and with black and red tones. On the other hand, this special edition has full compatibility with our smartphone, and also incorporates the Visual Boost system.

Focusing on the mechanics, the MINI 1499 GT incorporates a turbocharged three-cylinder engine producing 102 horsepower and a torque of 180 Nm. With these figures, this limited edition of the classic MINI will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 10,1 seconds.

These figures are not the sportiest on the market, but this version focuses on nostalgia and sports sensations, leaving aside big figures. Mechanically, it has independent rear suspension, brake discs and a 6-speed manual gearbox that will serve to bring the power produced by the engine to the front wheels.
