Another limited-edition Lotus. If we recently showed you the Lotus Evora GT430 , a true sports car with 436 horsepower and a price tag of €125.000, of which only 60 units will be manufactured, now the British firm has unveiled the Lotus Elise Cup 260 , a version similar to the Elise Cup 250. Similar, but not identical.
And we mustn't confuse it with the 250 version, because this new Elise Cup 260 has numerous lightweight elements that reduce its weight , new aerodynamics that give it greater downforce at high speeds, and the exclusivity that comes with the fact that only 30 units will exist.

From the outside, it could pass for an Elise Cup 250 were it not for the enormous flat wing that will add 180 kilograms of downforce at 240 km/h. It's inside where we'll find most of the differences. In addition to Alcantara on the seats, carbon fiber is another prominent feature on the dashboard.
The biggest differences, however, lie in the mechanical aspects. The new Lotus Elise Cup 260 features a chassis developed directly by Lotus's motorsport division and incorporates a 1,8-liter engine that generates 253 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. Yes, these figures might not seem particularly impressive, but we're talking about a vehicle that weighs just 862 kilograms, which, combined with a well-refined chassis, can make it a real joy to drive.
"As we approach the 70th anniversary of Colin Chapman's creation, it's only fitting that we build the best cars as special editions, and the Elise Cup 260 is worthy of that accolade." said Jean-Marc Gales, CEO of Lotus.

All this power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox . It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4,2 seconds, thanks in part to a sporty gear ratio.
Only 60 units of the Lotus Elise Cup 260 will be produced , and its price will be around €66.000. Furthermore, if you are one of the lucky ones to buy this purebred British sports car, you can optionally add titanium exhausts for €4.400 or an air conditioning system for €1.200.
