Automobili Lamborghini is breaking its own sales records in recent years, and it's not thanks to any extreme supercar, but the Urus SUV. However, merits should not be detracted from Lamborghini Huracán, which has been reaping good records since its launch back in 2014.
Now, after 8 years on sale, the Lamborghini Huracán has already been produced 20.000 times. Yes, the brand from Sant'Agata Bolognese has manufactured in this time all those units of the Huracán model, whose 20.000 unit it will go to a client in the Principality of Monaco. But of course, it couldn't just be a Hurricane, with a "basic" finish...
The 20.000 unit leaving the factory corresponds to a spectacular Lamborghini Huracan STO in Grigio Acheso Matt finish. We recall that the STO is the maximum expression of performance that can be registered within the model, the most radical and effective of all the versions that have been manufactured to date.
It should be remembered that the Huracán hit the market in 2014 and, since then, a dozen different versions have been manufactured for road use and three for competition.
71% of sales have been in coupé bodywork, the rest for the convertible
It is also important to mention that of those 20.000 units, 71% of sales have been for the coupé body, with the convertible variants remaining at 29%. The striking thing is that despite having been active for so many years, in 2021 2.586 units were sold; according to the Italian brand, thanks to the success of the STO.
Regarding the Hurricane STO, this version presented in 2021 transferred all the experience of the competition to a homologated car with just enough for use on the road. In fact, it is inspired by the Huracán EVO Super Trofeo. has an engine 5.2 naturally aspirated V10 with 640 hp and 565 Nm of torque, capable of reaching 310 km/h.
Finally, the last member of the family has been presented just a few days ago, the Lamborghini Huracan Technical, with the V10 engine and rear-wheel drive, is the last series of the model to be marketed.
