The launch of the Kia EV6 was a great milestone in the history of the Korean brand, since from the moment of its birth it became the company's first 100% electric vehicle designed exclusively to be zero emissions. A few months later he was followed by EV9 with even more cutting-edge technology and a new design language that will be the protagonist in future models from the Asian manufacturer. The proof of this is that the EV3 2024 which just saw the light of day this week and is placed in the compact SUV segment to hurt the Tesla Model Y, inheriting practically everything from its older brother to take advantage of a smaller format.

Without a doubt, as we say, what draws the most attention just by looking at it is the design philosophy that they have baptized with the name "Opposites United": very square shapes, very fine optics to give presence to the sheet metal and the body tone. chosen by customers and a perfect contrast with the black that takes over the wheels, the windows and countless other moldings. In this sense, The color palette will have nine colors specifically adopting Aventurine Green and Terracotta for the EV3.

Inside, it promises good habitability, adequate cargo space (up to 460 liters of trunk capacity and an additional 25 liters under the hood) and absolute digitalization. In fact, it has a widescreen screen of almost 30 inches (76 cm) that consists of a 12,3-inch instrumentation, a 5-inch panel for climate control and another 12,3-inch infotainment screen.

As in the EV9, users will be able to customize colors, materials and finishes inspired by the elements Air, Earth and Water. Sustainability finds its representation in PET plastic that we see in seats, roof, armrests, trim, floor mats and trunk.

The measures remain in the 4,3 meters in length, 1,85 meters wide and 1,56 meters high, with a wheelbase of 2,68 meters. All of this has as its skeleton the E GMP platform which, of course, allows a fully electric propulsion system to be equipped.

There will be two versions: a standard one with a 58,3 kWh battery and another long-range one with an 81,4 kWh battery that will reach 600 km maximum autonomy with each full charge. Thanks to 800 volt technology, you can go from 10 to 80% in just half an hour.

Both EV3s, yes, will offer the same 150 kW of power (200 hp) and 283 Nm of torque. They will complete 0 to 100 km/h in about 7,5 seconds and can reach a top speed of 170 km/h.
