Hyundai is one of the fastest-growing brands in the US . Its commercial trajectory in North America has been very similar to that of the Japanese brands that stormed this complex market in the mid-20th century. To achieve its goals, it has adapted its products to the requirements of these customers, as their tastes are not the same as those in other parts of the world. And the Hyundai Palisade seems to have been well-received, judging by its sales and positive reception.
The first generation of the Palisade successfully positioned the Korean automaker among the leading SUV manufacturers in the Americas. With the second generation, the company hopes to take it a step further, aiming to position it as a more premium product. For this reason, they will focus on a less aggressive and more aesthetically pleasing design that is less polarizing. To achieve this, they will move away from the style of the current Santa Fe and adopt a look similar to that seen in the Staria …
The new Hyundai Palisade will sport a less aggressive aesthetic…

As you know, the current generation of the Hyundai Palisade arrived on the market in 2018. Almost six years have passed, and it's time for a second generation to be unveiled. To fulfill this mission, the company's US division has set to work. Hence, these two renders have now surfaced, thanks to spy photographers who captured several heavily camouflaged units undergoing validation testing.
From these photos, we can understand how the Palisade will evolve. If they're accurate, it seems it will abandon its sharp lines in favor of more fluid ones , bringing it closer to the Staria's design. The front features a pair of headlights divided into two sections. The upper section, for daytime running lights, spans the width of the car. The second set of lights is integrated into the bumper, flanking a massive grille that covers the entire width of the bumper.
From the side, the roofline slopes more steeply and includes concealed door handles . There's also a new design for the window and wheel arch profiles, as well as alloy wheels. The rear end changes from the previous design to a more horizontal one with simpler taillights that, at the top, extend into the wheel arches and span the entire width. The tailgate is cleaner, and the central trim includes the Palisade name.
His technique for now is a total unknown as well as when he will debut...

For now, it's unclear how its interior will evolve , but it should be closer to the Ioniq range than the current Palisade's style. Regarding its technology, the Korean brand hasn't yet released many details, but its platform won't be the same, as it will likely adopt the one Kia has designed for its pickups. Thanks to this, its engineers will be able to introduce electrified powertrains, although little is known about this either at the moment…
As for its debut , several sources suggest it will take place next year, although there's no date yet… The most interesting thing of all is whether Hyundai will finally dare to bring it to Europe or if they'll settle for the Santa Fe…
