The automotive sector is, in itself, a vast universe . In Europe, we tend to think that the brands and models available are all there is to it, but as soon as we leave our borders, diversity takes over. There's as much diversity as there are countries, and although the sector is highly standardized and homogenized, there are still oases. China is one of them, and proof of its great richness lies in the manufacturer Human Horizons. Doesn't it ring a bell? Well, it should, because we've already told you about it.
Do you remember when we introduced you to the HiPhi 1? This was the first model the Chinese manufacturer launched in its home country, and it was relatively successful. So much so, in fact, that they've created a second model in record time: the HiPhi Z, which you can see in these images. Its official presentation took place recently , and it will arrive at the brand's retail outlets in the coming months. If you like it, don't miss a thing, because it could give some European competitors a run for their money.
The Human Horizons HiPhi Z has a 120kWh battery that gives it a range of 705 kilometers...
As you can see in the images, the Human Horizons HiPhi Z has a very aggressive aesthetic . It's somewhat reminiscent of its sibling, the HiPhi 1, but its front end is more baroque, incorporating polygonal LED headlights. And not only that, it's the world's first vehicle to feature the wraparound Star-Ring ISD light curtain . This consists of 4066 individual LEDs that allow it to interact with pedestrians, cyclists, and other vehicles to send messages.
But there's another detail that stands out: the HiPhi Z measures 5,03 meters long, 2,01 meters wide, and 1,43 meters high . However, Human Horizons says it has a special steering system that gives it a turning radius very similar to that of the Mini hatchback. All in all, we're looking at a model that's difficult to classify and, as we can see from its doors, exudes personality . Even the interior boasts high quality.
Taking a look inside, we see that the Human Horizons HiPhi Z has a modern feel . The large central touchscreen and the absence of a traditional instrument cluster are particularly striking. The steering wheel has only two spokes, each housing various controls for managing different parameters. Interestingly, it includes a modern artificial intelligence (AI) system called HiPhi Bot, capable of adjusting the occupants' comfort.
Finally, we must discuss the powertrain. The HiPhi Z is equipped with a high-performance 120kWh battery pack that utilizes Cell-to-Pack (CTP) technology . Its power output hasn't been announced, but it does accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 3,8 seconds. It also features four-wheel steering, an Intelligent Vehicle Control (IVC) system, air suspension, and Continuous Damping Control (CDC).
