Silverstone 70th Anniversary GP: Times and where to watch

British GP, Silverstone

This weekend, the action returns to Silverstone, as the 2020 F1 season returns to this circuit to fill gaps in this highly unusual calendar . And it does so with the renowned Silverstone 70th Anniversary Grand Prix . So, on the weekend of August 9th, without a break after the British Grand Prix, you can catch another race. The downside of repeating races at the same circuit is that the results are likely to be similar, given the track's characteristics and the fact that it favors the same cars… although it's also true that some unforeseen events can always occur.

As you know, this GP is the prelude to the Spanish GP , which will be on the weekend of August 16th. I hope everything goes well in Montmeló with all the outbreaks happening there, although if nothing happens in Great Britain, which has the most critical situation, I hope it can also be held without problems. Therefore, we can expect intense weeks of racing, without those typical summer breaks in August when the factories used to close, as we have to make the most of the last period of the year to keep adding races to this calendar reduced by the pandemic.

Silverstone Circuit

This Silverstone 70th Anniversary Grand Prix will feature the same 5.891 km circuit per lap, and, like the British Grand Prix, will consist of 52 laps for a total race distance of 306.332 km. To make sure you don't miss any of the official sessions, including free practice, qualifying, and the race, as well as the pre- and post-race programs and press conferences, you can watch all the content on Movistar F1 or find an alternative.
