The GMC Sierra announces its update with this short teaser video…

Chevrolet Silverado - GMC Sierra

General Motors has been very active in recent months. The reason for all this activity is the high demand for SUVs and pickup trucks from customers. As a result of these strong sales, they've decided to update their lineup to keep pace with their direct competitors. That's why a few days ago they unveiled the mid-life facelift of the Chevrolet Silverado . They also announced some new features for the electric (EV) version.

As expected, if the Silverado gets an update, its sibling, the GMC Sierra , must too. This is one of the most highly regarded full-size pickups in rural America. In case you didn't know, the two models are essentially the same, albeit with a few differences that, naturally, justify a higher price tag than the Silverado. Now, they've announced the debut of this restyling through a brief and rather dark teaser video .

The GMC Sierra is nothing more than the refined version of the Chevrolet Silverado…

The clip they've released is a mere 15 seconds long, and as you can imagine, it doesn't offer much. In fact, the most revealing shot shows one of the front lenses pointing at the camera. There are other shots that offer a bit more detail, though they're from a distance and show the rear. Finally, there's a view of the lenses where the daylight beam and some of the LEDs are clearly visible.

However, we know this restyling will involve a redesigned front end , although we don't yet know the full extent of the design team's changes. One thing is certain: more aggressive bumpers with air intakes in a new location and, perhaps, larger sizes. As for the side profile and rear, there shouldn't be any major surprises beyond new alloy wheels and some minor bumper tweaks. Plus, a refreshed color palette.

Inside, the new GMC Sierra should debut with new driver assistance systems, larger screens, and more refined finishes . Customization options will be extensive, as that's its key differentiator from its sibling, the Silverado. We'll learn about all these changes very soon, as its official debut is scheduled for October 21st. That is, unless a leak spoils the surprise beforehand…

Nope…?
