In fact, it's the best-selling vehicle in its category in Europe, forcing brands like Mitsubishi and Nissan to reconsider selling their counterparts.
Well, if it's well-known and successful in Europe, it's no less so on the other side of the Atlantic. That's why they frequently entice customers by introducing interesting special editions . The latest example of this marketing strategy is the Ford Ranger Splash . It might not ring a bell in our region, but in its home country, it's a familiar name. Now it's making a comeback, based on the XLT and Lariat trims.

According to Ford, the Ranger Splash will be available in two styles: Splash Package and Splash Limited Edition . Notable new features include orange and black graphics on the body and 18-inch, 12-spoke alloy wheels with a matte black finish. Piano black accents are also present on the grille and front grille, bumpers, side mirror caps, door edge moldings, and air vents.
Inside, the interior features exclusive seats with contrasting orange stitching . The upholstery is carbon-colored with tuxedo-style stripes, which, in the Lariat version, is replaced with leather. The steering wheel, gearshift, and brake pedal cover also feature contrasting orange stitching. Finally, the Lariat version adds decorative orange stitching to the front and rear armrests and the dashboard.
In the official press release published by Ford, Chad Callandar, Ford Ranger marketing manager, states that…
“ Ranger customers love to personalize their trucks ; more than 80% customize their Ranger with an appearance package, and with Splash, we’re giving them something exclusive.” […] “Every few months, we’ll launch another Ranger exterior color that will be offered only once and in very limited quantities.”
And you might be wondering , will we see the Ford Ranger Splash in Europe? Well, we're sorry to break the news, but no. The American company will initially limit it to its home market. Unless the European subsidiary sees demand and orders a handful of units. In any case, that possibility seems very remote. A shame, don't you think?
