One of the FCA Group 's strongest and most determined bets for the coming years is the latest generation of the legendary Jeep Wrangler . While its sales volume won't be stratospheric, it will help increase traffic to the brand's showrooms, and consequently, increase the likelihood of customers purchasing a model. Therefore, now that sales have begun in the Americas , they must do the same in Europe.
The FCA Group has decided that the best time to launch the new Jeep Wrangler in major European markets will be the third quarter of this year . Therefore, taking advantage of the fact that new models are usually scarce during the summer, they have decided to release the main technical details of the model that will soon be available on our roads.

On a technical level, we already knew that the new Jeep Wrangler has been developed on a newly designed, more rigid and lighter platform. Thanks to this, and the inclusion of several aluminum body panels, the overall weight has been significantly reduced, despite the considerable increase in its technological and safety features.
The aesthetics remain true to the classic Wrangler concept (with no major differences from the model sold in the United States). Highlights include the iconic Jeep grille , round headlights (in this case with optional full LED technology), and the choice of a hardtop or convertible body (with soft tops or removable hardtops).
The new Jeep Wrangler 's engine lineup for the European market will consist of several options. The entry-level version features the new 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine, producing 272 hp and 400 Nm of torque. At the top of the gasoline range is the familiar 3.6-liter V6 engine, delivering 284 hp and 347 Nm of torque.

For customers who travel long distances or need significant power to tow caravans, a diesel version will remain available. This task is handled by the new 2.2-liter CRD four-cylinder turbocharged engine, which develops 200 hp and a maximum torque of 450 Nm (the same engine used in the Alfa Romeo Giulia). All engines can be paired with the four-wheel drive system with low range and the 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
The standard equipment is also significantly enhanced, as it can include, either as standard or optional equipment, a variety of active driving aids . These include lane departure warning, blind spot detection, and adaptive cruise control . Additional features include full LED headlights, an infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen and compatibility with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a rearview camera , and light and rain sensors.
For now, the FCA Group and Jeep have not confirmed the prices at which the new Wrangler will be available in Spain. We'll have to wait for the Paris Motor Show, as they could be officially revealed there.
