The changes taking place in the automotive sector are fostering the arrival of new companies. Currently, established manufacturers dominate, but the last two decades have witnessed the Tesla phenomenon. It is for this reason that, from time to time, new companies emerge hoping to replicate its success. Such is the case of Elektron Innovativ Technologien GmbH, a German-based brand that holds some intriguing secrets.
As you can probably guess from the name, their business focuses on fully electric models . Their first project is the Elektron One , a high-flying supercar. At first glance, it might seem like just another one of the many that have appeared in recent years, but based on the information provided by its creators, the project shows great promise. If you'd like to learn more, we'll introduce it to you, although there's no release date yet.
The Elektron One could debut in Geneva in 2021

Using a body composed of carbon fiber, aramid, and biofiber, they've created a very sharp and aerodynamic design. Its silhouette is similar to that of other supercars, with a minimalist front end and a more elaborate rear. The overall design is distinguished by the enormous air intakes behind the doors and the voluminous wheel arches that house exclusive alloy wheels.
The powertrain, as we mentioned earlier, is 100% electric. Thanks to it, the Elektron One reaches the magic figure of 1.000 kW , or 1.360 hp. The team that developed it, despite what the company name might suggest, is Italian-Turkish. In fact, it's the first Formula E team in history with both Italian and Turkish ownership . All this power is delivered to the ground through a sophisticated all-wheel-drive system with intelligent torque distribution.
Technical specifications such as performance and battery capacity have not been announced, although they should be on par with its mechanical components. This project, which still has no release date, is still in the development phase. Its creators plan to locate their production center in Italy's Motor Valley area and intend to manufacture 140 units per year.
They also announced that a convertible version might be coming , although they haven't ruled out other projects like a high-performance e-superbike. It remains to be seen how far they'll go, as positioning it won't be easy . Rivals like the Rimac C-Two won't make it easy, but even the Rimac is having a tough time. In any case, it's unlikely anyone will spend over €300 on a model that no one knows about.
