Eccentrica V12 Roadster: a Diablo restomod that will win your heart.

  • Eccentrica presents the V12 Roadster, a convertible reinterpretation of the Lamborghini Diablo.
  • Only 19 units will be manufactured, with extreme customization.
  • It retains the naturally aspirated 5.7-liter V12 engine with 550 hp and a six-speed manual transmission.
  • It will debut at Monterey Car Week on August 14.

The San Marino-based firm Eccentrica has done it again. Following its acclaimed coupé, it now presents the V12 Roadster, a convertible version of the Lamborghini Diablo that promises to take the analog driving experience to another level. The model will be shown to the public for the first time at Monterey Car Week, and only 19 units will be built.

This restomod is more than just a cosmetic transformation. Beneath its steel and carbon fiber body lies a profound technical overhaul that includes over 3.500 redesigned components. The goal: to preserve the character of the original Diablo but with the performance and safety of a modern car.

Engine and performance: the naturally aspirated V12 is still alive

The heart of the Eccentrica V12 Roadster is the same 5,7-liter V12 engine found in the Diablo, but extensively modified. Thanks to new electronic management, revised camshafts, and optimized intake, power is boosted to 550 hp. It's paired with a six-speed manual gearbox, ensuring a pure connection between driver and machine. The open roof intensifies the sound experience , and every acceleration becomes a spectacle for the senses.

Design and construction: wider, lighter, more radical

The bodywork combines steel and carbon fiber panels, with a widened track that improves stability. The team led by Maurizio Reggiani, former technical director of Lamborghini, has worked on the aerodynamics to ensure that airflow doesn't compromise the convertible's handling. Structural carbon fiber reinforcements have been incorporated to compensate for the rigidity lost by removing the roof. The result is a vehicle that weighs less than 1.542 kg, a surprising figure for a car of this type.

Interior and personalization: handcrafted luxury à la carte

The interior is a lavish display of premium materials: Connolly leather, Alcantara, anodized metal, and exposed carbon fiber. There are no touchscreens or digital assistants; the experience is deliberately analog. Each unit will be configured to the owner's specifications, with three customization options: Sport, Eccentric, and Heritage. Exclusivity is guaranteed with a limited production run of just 19 examples , each one unique.

The Eccentrica V12 Roadster stands out as one of the most exciting restomod offerings of the moment. It blends the essence of the Lamborghini Diablo with modern engineering, delivering a visceral and unfiltered driving experience. Its debut at The Quail during Monterey Car Week will mark the beginning of a new era for naturally aspirated sports car enthusiasts. With only 19 units planned, this roadster is sure to become a highly sought-after collector's item.
