And is that Volkswagen Group Spain Distribution will be in charge of the commercialization of Ducati in both countries (except the Canary Islands) since the beginning of 2024. In any case, let's not forget that the Italian motorcycle brand It belongs to the Volkswagen Group since 2012.
This week has taken place presentation event of this new project, which we attended together with a large group of journalists, executives of the different companies of the Volkswagen Group and the associations of automobile manufacturers (ANFAC) and the two-wheel sector (ANESDOR). We also have the presence of Ducati CEO, Claudio Domenicali, and Carlos T. López Paniesello, the new general director of Ducati for Spain and Portugal.
The goal for Ducati is further enhance the premium character of the company and improve the relationship with the customer. In the same way that in the structure of the Volkswagen Group at an international level, Ducati is integrated into the Group of brands led by Audi, Ducati will also be under the umbrella of the Audi division within Volkswagen Group Spain Distribution, since there are important synergies between both brands that will be developed in the coming years. Finally, in this event we had the opportunity to see a product display of the brand, highlighting the Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally, the Scrambler Icon, the Streetfighter V4 S or a beautiful Panigale V2 with Troy Bayliss replica livery; who won three Superbike world championships.
