When Ford launched the first generation Kuga, they never imagined it would become such a success. It changed the market trend and boosted sales, especially in Europe, where rivals were gaining ground. However, with each subsequent iteration, things have taken a turn for the worse. It's not a complete commercial failure, but it's true that its competitors are outperforming it . Perhaps this is because, in this case, they've "missed" with the design.
Besides the fact that its engine lineup has been reduced to gasoline and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) options overnight, the best example of this is in the Spanish market: the only remaining diesel engine is a 1.5-liter with 120 hp paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Nevertheless, the Blue Oval is working on a facelift to help it take off again. Hence the frequent appearance of renderings illustrating what the change might look like…
The renewed Ford Kuga could show off more aggressive and more attractive lines...

The last time we presented a render of the hypothetical updated Ford Kuga was a few months ago. The creator of the material was Kolesa, and surprisingly, he's back with more illustrations. He explained that these images were based on work done by several spy photographers . In this case, Ford is conducting validation tests of its evolution near its technical center in Germany.
However, if you look closely and compare these renders with the previous ones, there are some changes. The latest ones are more powerful and, above all, more attractive. This is mainly because the headlights have a more striking internal configuration and the grille is sportier. In addition, it features a new thin chrome strip that connects the headlights and adds width. The hood is more pronounced, with character lines that make it look more muscular , and it's also partially enclosed by the headlights.
There's little to say about the rear. Kolesa has slightly modified the internal layout of the taillights , and that's about it. This area is perhaps the best resolved in the current model, and aside from minor details, the overall design language shouldn't change. However, we'll have to wait for Ford to officially unveil it to know if these renders and previous ones are accurate. And that's not even mentioning how the interior might evolve in terms of style and quality.
We'll be patient… In the meantime, we ask : What do you think of these performances? Better or worse than the one we already know?
