New Cupra Formentor VZ5 BAT: 390 CV, 500 units and everything in black!

Cupra Formentor VZ5 BAT

Cupra has decided to launch a new edition of the already exclusive Formenter VZ5. Called Cupra Formentor VZ5 BAT and, as we are going to see below, this limited version integrates a multitude of details in black to, according to the brand, "enhance the emotional character of the high-performance crossover SUV".

First of all, the Formentor VZ5 BAT continues to use the 2.5 TSI 5-cylinder engine with 390 hp and 480 Nm. It is one of the most special mechanics on the current market and, furthermore, it is the only car to which Audi has given this peculiar engine outside that it is also equipped in the Audi TT RS, RS Q3 and RS 3.

Black as the main protagonist in the Formentor VZ5 BAT

But focusing on the Cupra Formentor VZ5 BAT, we see in the images that the name "bat" (in English) matches perfectly with the intensity of black tones. Roof bars, grill and outline of it, as well as the wheels are in black. Also in this color we find the exhaust outlets, while the mirror housings are in carbon fiber.

As a curiosity, the emblems of the brand are in a dark tone and not in the usual Copper

Meanwhile, in the cabin few changes have integrated beyond a few parts in glossy blacksuch as the air vents or the center console. In any case, the interior of this car is already radical enough, as evidenced by the CupBucket seats as standard in this special edition.

500 units at a still unknown price

We know that the production of the Cupra Formentor VZ5 BAT will be limited to 500 units. What is still unknown is the official price and the number of units that will arrive in Spain. In any case, they will be few and, taking into account that the "normal" VZ5 costs 68.390 euros, logic makes us think that will cost more than 71.000 euros.
