Suzuki is one of the few car manufacturers that is not part of any industrial group. The Japanese firm specializes in the design and manufacture of SUVs and city cars . Specializing in both segments has helped it become the best-selling brand in Asia, although it does so under its Indian subsidiary, Maruti.
In the US, they ceased operations in 2012, but in Europe they are beginning to gain market share. To achieve this, they have launched a product offensive that positions them at the heart of the small and medium car segments. The model that opens their lineup is the Celerio micro city car . It replaces the tall model and is only sold with a 68 hp three-cylinder gasoline engine. Compared to its rivals, it stands out for its equipment, low fuel consumption , and low purchase and maintenance costs.
To complete the micro-urban segment, Suzuki has launched the Ignis . It's considered an SUV, but it's more focused on navigating city traffic. Its strengths lie in its customizable design and a more spacious interior than it might initially appear. The engine range consists of a 1.2 DualJet mild hybrid (SHVS) engine that delivers 90 hp. It can also be equipped with an automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
Suzuki covers the urban segment with the Swift . The fifth generation has just arrived on the market, and in addition to growing in size and losing weight, it gains in safety and technological features. Its engine range no longer includes diesel versions but does offer a mild hybrid (Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki). Furthermore, like its predecessors, it will continue to be available in sporty versions and with all-wheel drive.
If the Suzuki Swift is the brand's city car, the Baleno is its larger city car. Measuring exactly 4 meters, it stands out for its spacious interior and extensive equipment. The engine range has been updated with a new 1-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine producing 111 hp (BoosterJet). It also features a mild hybrid version (SHVS) with 90 hp and fuel consumption of just 4 liters per 100 km.
Within the Suzuki range, there's a dedicated space for off-road vehicles and SUVs. The brand's most iconic model is the small Jimny off-roader . It has been in production since 1970, and the latest generation arrived on the market in 1998. The Jimny is a robust vehicle with a very low ride comfort and a powertrain consisting of an 85 hp gasoline engine. Its main distinguishing feature is its ability to handle rough terrain and venture into the most challenging environments.
The Suzuki Vitara has changed segments in this, its latest generation. It has gone from being an off-roader to becoming an SUV with an attractive and customizable design. The engine range consists of two gasoline engines (naturally aspirated and BoosterJet) and one diesel engine (DDiS) with power outputs between 120 and 140 hp. Compared to its predecessor, it has improved in dynamic handling, fuel economy, safety features, and technology, although it has lost its low-range gearbox.
close the range Suzuki the compact SUV S cross. This model derives from the previous SX4 S-Cross and with the latest restyling they have decided to shorten its name. Compared to the previous SX4 has improved in quality, safety, technology, mechanical range and driving pleasure. The mechanical range is identical to that mounted by the renewed Vitara.
