Mobility in large cities is changing by leaps and bounds. A decade ago, micro and urban areas were triumphing among young people and families, but now both segments are in the doldrums. The reasons for its decline are several and very diverse, but there is one very important one. It is about the growth in vehicle prices. And that's where the Citroen Ami "fishes" clients with a ease that attracts attention...
As you already know, this vehicle is not a car as such, but a electric light quadricycle which is approved so that drivers can carry it from the age of 15 with the AM moped license. Citroën He also created it with a view to various uses such as last mile parcel delivery. And it seems that they have done very well as demonstrated by the different special versions that they have had. The last one comes to celebrate her life.
The birthday Citroën Ami sports new stickers and colors for its bodywork...
In case you didn't know, or had simply forgotten, The Citroën Ami has been with us for four years. Since it was born, those responsible for the French house were clear that this model could not go unnoticed. And for this they have given her a series of looks that have attracted attention wherever she went and sold. In addition, he has become a police car and has had two twin brothers. One in Opel and another in Fiat although the latter is less similar...
Be that as it may, to celebrate the fourth anniversary of the Ami Citroën have created another special version. And although the basic design elements of its body do not change compared to what we already knew, it does add visible changes. First of all Its bodywork is dressed in the “Night Sepia” tone, a raw dark brown that gives it more strength without losing its unique character. But they also wanted to go further with a new finish and more surprises...
Now, in addition, the Peps version is released and the Ami Cargo is also updated...
First The Ami range debuts the Peps finish. It is born from combining the Pop and Tonic finishes that were already in its range and that give it a more premium touch. This version complements the access version and the My Ami Orange, Blue and Gray by sporting a front with a black graphic band under the windshield. Added to this are horizontal yellow stickers and black headlight edges. It also adds a roof spoiler, four hubcaps with a floral design with white inserts, two stickers on the tailgate and another two on the lower part of the doors.
The colors chosen for the stickers and decoration are energetic such as infrared red or yellow. And there is more because there are also elements that are reminiscent of video games or racing cars like number 2. Inside the Ami Peps also adds new features such as the clip for the smartphone, the nets for the orange doors, the separation net central, the bag hook in yellow or the storage spaces in orange. The connectivity part is solved with "My Connect Box" together with "My Ami Play" and the "Citroën Switch" button on the steering wheel.
Lastly, we cannot ignore the news that the Ami Cargo debuts. This is an after-sales kit that offers the possibility of configuring the interior to carry a second passenger or expand the cargo space. The kit folds in just a few steps. First of all there are 2 vertical panels that separate driver and passenger preventing the load from tipping towards the driver. Secondly, there are 4 panels that open over the passenger seat from the backrest to the foot, to offer a loading surface that does not damage the seat.
Lastly, there is a net that goes from the top of the backrest to the dashboard to hide the packages saved in the storage space. All in all, the Ami Cargo allows you to load up to 200 liters under the storage network, with a total volume of 340 liters throughout the vehicle. Without a doubt we are sad that Citroën does not increase the power of its electric motor or battery. With about 8 HP of power and a little more than 70 kilometers of autonomy, it still seems "short" to us but it seems that the public and sales say otherwise... Congratulations...
