The Audi Q6 e-tron is gradually revealing its aesthetic features and some of its unique characteristics. This electric SUV from the German brand won't hit the streets until 2024, but it's important to keep in mind that this new model will carry a significant responsibility for Audi.
And it will be the first car in a new range for the company. Firstly, it will be the first to use the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) , a newly developed platform created jointly with Porsche. In fact, it will also be the basis for the next Macan and other future models, as it is a scalable platform for mid-size and large vehicles.
The Audi Q6 e-tron will debut the PPE platform of Audi and Porsche

The PPE battery is therefore expected to be an improvement in many aspects over the J1 battery currently used by vehicles such as the Porsche Taycan and the Audi e-tron GT. It will also power the next Audi A6, and among other advantages, greater efficiency and the use of new batteries with higher performance and charging capacity are expected.
Leaving that aside, the Audi Q6 e-tron will measure around 4,8 meters , making it a large crossover, though not quite as big as the Q8. It goes without saying that this will be the first generation of the Q6, a name that has not yet been used on any other vehicle from the German brand.
Outdoor lighting is more important than ever

Another important new feature for this model is that it will debut a new design language in which lighting will play a fundamental role. It will feature an active digital lighting signature , an evolution of OLED lights. According to Audi, it " takes lighting design, the range of functions, and road safety to a new level ," as it will be able to send warning lights in certain situations.
The vehicles equipped with this system—because it almost certainly won't be standard—will have eight optional digital daytime running light signatures . These can be configured via the MMI multimedia system and, for the first time, through the myAudi app. With an on-demand subscription model, customers will be able to purchase these signature lighting options after buying their vehicle.
