XPENG , the Chinese manufacturer specializing in electric vehicles, is reinforcing its commitment to the European market with the arrival of new versions of its G6 and G9 SUVs . The brand has announced that these models will be available in Europe by the end of 2025. They incorporate significant changes in both technology and design to adapt to the demands of European customers.
In this next wave, XPENG aims to stand out not only for the innovation of its models but also for offering practical solutions focused on the user experience. These include ultra-fast charging and enhanced interior comfort. While final pricing and some specifications are still pending, anticipation is growing among potential customers.
Design and customization improvements for the XPENG G6 and G9…

The XPENG G6 receives an exterior redesign with particular attention to the horizontally angled LED headlights that span almost two meters in width. A new color, "Stellar Purple," is also added —a matte metallic finish that changes hue depending on the ambient light. The larger G9, meanwhile, arrives in a "Black Edition" with a full black finish on the wheels, logos, and details, topped off with orange brake calipers for added contrast. All in all, these are two models that are quite generous in size: 4,76 meters long for the G6 and 4,89 meters for the G9, with a particularly long wheelbase in both cases.
Renewed cabin and technological equipment

Inside, both models have undergone a thorough redesign . The G6 debuts the "Super Star-Ring" cabin design, with a completely revised dashboard and new materials to enhance the perceived quality. The front seats now offer massage functions and lumbar support for greater comfort. Meanwhile, the G9 features a massive, triple-layered panoramic glass roof with thermal insulation and 10-point massage seats.
According to the brand, the cabin and trunk volume has been optimized while maintaining the exterior dimensions. Technological features have also been enhanced with standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a redesigned driver's seat. Furthermore, both models include a new microfiber steering wheel and a driver assistance chip that enables advanced environmental analysis, contributing to safer and more precise driving.
Charging Innovation: 800V SiC Platform and 5C LFP Batteries

One of the most significant updates is the use of the new iteration 800V SiC platform . Both SUVs, the G6 and G9, incorporate LFP (lithium iron phosphate) batteries with 5C charging technology in all versions, thus eliminating the need for critical materials such as cobalt and nickel. Charging from 10% to 80% can be completed in just 12 minutes , positioning XPENG as one of the industry leaders in charging times. In terms of performance, the new G9 will accept charging power of up to 525 kW, and the G6, up to 451 kW.
Launch, markets, and expected prices…

XPENG has confirmed that the ordering process will open in the second half of July 2025 in markets such as the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and France. Spain is also on the list to receive both models. Although exact prices and other final specifications will be announced before they arrive at dealerships, several sources estimate that the G6 and G9 will maintain prices very close to the current ones: around €43.600 for the G6 and €59.600 for the G9 with the standard battery configuration.
These new versions of the XPENG G6 and G9 represent a significant update, improving charging speed, comfort, and features without significantly altering their overall design. The brand seeks to consolidate its position in the European electric vehicle market, focusing primarily on functionality and technological advancement, factors that are becoming increasingly important when choosing a car. Will we see clones with the Volkswagen logo, or will they just leave that for China?
