China isn't just a global powerhouse in electric vehicle production; it already is. The Asian giant has woken up and mobilized its entire automotive industry to produce Chinese electric cars that are among the best in their class . Their commercial expansion into other markets is impressive, although the domestic market still offers models we'd love to see in Europe.
In this context, the country has become the global hub for electrified innovation thanks to its extensive battery technology and manufacturing capabilities, which explains the increasing number of Chinese electric cars on the market. And no, they're not bad at all; quite the opposite. Now, although it hasn't yet arrived in Europe, China plans to sell its new Qiantu K20 here , which could become one of the most affordable Chinese electric cars on the market… and this time, a sporty one at that.
The Qiantu K20, another of the cheapest Chinese electric cars

It is true that the vast majority have done so with 100% electric SUV-type vehicles, although there are also some models with a gasoline engine. In the catalog there are models for all tastes, from the simplest, small and with few accessories to high-end cars with premium equipment and all kinds of details.
However, the truth is that the market of the Asian country has now wanted to search and go one step further, and for this the Qiantu K20 has been shown, a model of these Chinese electric cars with a sporty silhouette and with a more than differentiating aesthetic. the rest.
This is the latest jewel from the manufacturer Qiantu Motors, which was absent for these years to bring this new fully sporty and electric two-seater. Its name is K20 and, if at the moment it is only a reality for the Chinese market, it is expected that it will also do so for the European one at the end of 2023.
A highly conceptual sports car with autonomy of 500 km

At first glance, this model resembles a hatchback , which is essentially a compact design , and its short wheelbase is evident. The K20 is stylized by its headlights with faux air intakes, an unusual windshield, and large doors. Overall, it's a sports car characterized by its curvature, reminiscent of concept cars.
All-wheel drive, it is equipped with a double motor that offers a total power of more than 160 kW (the equivalent of about 214 CV) and a total torque of more than 290 Nm.
What's remarkable, despite being electric and having to carry a heavy battery, is that it weighs less than 800 kg, which also allows it to offer impressive acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4,7 seconds. Its range, as described by Qiantu Motors, is 500 km on a single charge.
The design is very unusual (for what is in style today), a three-door with a sharp nose and nods to the coupé style -such as the open windows-, but it is not a rectangular or 'box' type minivan. It can also be ordered as a convertible and with very striking color combinations.
And what about its price? Well, undoubtedly, the best part. In China, this model is offered between 86.800 and 149.8000 yuan, which translates to a price range of around €12.190, while the dual-motor version will be priced at €21.039.
