Renault is a French mainstream brand that covers virtually all segments of the European market. Its offerings include models primarily designed for city driving, mid-size cars, sporty versions, family cars, SUVs and crossovers, several fully electric models, and commercial vehicles of varying sizes and for different purposes.

The most compact model among traditional passenger cars is the Renault Twingo . The third generation arrived in 2014 with two engine options, one with 70 hp and the other with 90 hp, both gasoline. One of its distinctive features is that the engine is located at the rear of the vehicle , under the trunk floor, making it rear-wheel drive. There is no cargo space in the front. It is only offered as a 5-door hatchback, although, due to the door handles being positioned near the rear pillar, it resembles a 3-door. A sporty version called the Twingo GT, with 110 hp, is also available.

The Renault Clio is the French brand's offering for the B segment. This is the fourth generation of this successful model, which has been with us for over two decades. The current model is available as a five-door hatchback and an estate version called the Clio Sport Tourer , with the rear door handles cleverly concealed near the C-pillar. The engine range consists of 3- and 4-cylinder diesel and gasoline engines. Power outputs range from 75 to 120 hp. There are two sporty versions : the Clio Sport and the Clio Trophy. The former produces 200 hp, while the latter, more extreme, delivers 220 hp.

The Renault Mégane is the flagship model for the C segment . Although it arrived on the market a few years later than the Clio, the Mégane is also in its fourth generation. It is currently offered as a 5-door hatchback and an estate (Sport Tourer). It stands out for its modern exterior design, featuring elongated headlights and taillights. Mechanically, it is available with diesel and gasoline engines, ranging in power from 90 to 205 hp. The top-of-the-line GT trim features four-wheel steering thanks to the 4Control system. A sporty Renault Mégane RS is expected soon.

The Renault Talisman is the French brand's latest offering in the competitive D-segment. It's the successor to the Renault Laguna , a model that achieved strong sales in its first two generations, but not in its third. The Renault Talisman is an elegant and very comfortable vehicle, ideal for long journeys. It's available as both a 4-door sedan and an estate version ( Sport Tourer ). It's also available with diesel and gasoline engines, with power outputs ranging from 110 to 200 hp.

Moving into the mid-size MPV segment, we have the Renault Scénic . Also in its fourth generation, this model is offered in two versions of different lengths: the Scénic and the Grand Scénic . The Grand Scénic is about 23 cm longer. Another important difference between the two is that the former has a 5-seater cabin, while the latter has 7. The brand aimed to give these models a more adventurous look , achieving this by raising the ride height. The engine range offers power outputs from 95 to 130 hp in the Scénic and from 110 to 160 hp in the Grand Scénic.

The brand's largest MPV is the Renault Espace . This model is also a veteran within the Renault lineup. It undoubtedly stands out for its spacious interior, comfortable ride, and generous trunk capacity. Only one body style is available, though it can be configured with either 5 or 7 seats . The trunk for the 5-seater boasts a generous 680 liters of space. Similar to the Scénic, the Renault Espace features a more adventurous styling. The engine range comprises three versions: two diesels with 130 and 160 hp, and a gasoline engine with 225 hp.

The smallest SUV and crossover is the Renault Captur . This model has been on the market for a few years now, having been updated in 2017. Built on the Clio platform, the Renault Captur meets current demands for utility vehicles, with good use of space and a high driving position . It is only offered as a 5-door hatchback, and its off-road capabilities are limited. The power range of its engines spans from 90 to 120 hp. There is no all-wheel-drive option , but there is a selectable ESP mode to improve traction on challenging surfaces.

Let's move on to the Renault Kadjar . This model arrived as a new addition to the C-SUV segment in 2015. One of its advantages is that it's cheaper than most of its rivals. The engine range for this new model spans from 110 to 165 hp. Depending on the version, it can also be equipped with a 4x4 system which, incidentally, doesn't reduce the trunk capacity.

The largest model among SUVs and crossovers is the Renault Koleos . This name was used a few years ago for a more ornate product that wasn't well received in the market. Now it's more elegant, sophisticated, and larger than its predecessor and the Kadjar. It's also true that, naturally, it's more expensive . Belonging to the D-SUV segment, this Renault Koleos has a 5-seat cabin, with no option for a third row of seats. Its engine range offers only diesel engines with power outputs of 130 and 175 hp. It can be paired with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

The Renault Twizy is the smallest model Renault sells and possibly the smallest car available in Spain. It measures 2,3 meters long and has two seats, one in front of the other. The Renault Twizy is also available as an electric vehicle with two power options: 5 hp and 11 hp. This is undoubtedly the Renault model that attracts the most attention , as, in addition to its size, it doesn't even have side windows.

Continuing with electric models, the most sensible purchase within this range is the Renault Zoe . It's based directly on the Renault Clio, although some dimensions and measurements are slightly different. The design is also distinct. This is one of the best-selling electric vehicles in Spain, offering a range of up to 400 kilometers in its homologation cycle in its top-of-the-line 41 kWh version. Its power output is 92 hp.

Commercial and electric, that's the Renault Kangoo ZE. Based on the combustion-engine Renault Kangoo, the brand launched this electric version. Although sales are minimal, it could be an interesting option for shopkeepers and delivery drivers who travel within a limited distance. Different versions are available with varying cargo space and seating for 2 or 5 passengers. It has a power output of 60 hp , a top speed of 130 km/h, and a homologated range of 270 km.

The Renault Kangoo is the brand's smallest commercial vehicle . Ideal for transporting relatively small items and light loads, the Kangoo is one of the most popular commercial vehicles on the market. There's the Renault Kangoo Combi and the Kangoo Van . The Combi can carry cargo and seats up to five people, while the Van, without a second row of seats, offers more cargo space and is available in three different body lengths. It's offered with engines ranging from 75 to 115 hp, in both diesel and gasoline versions.

The next step up is the Renault Trafic , also a veteran of the brand. Like the Kangoo, it's offered in Combi and Van versions , with the former more focused on passenger transport and the latter on heavy and large loads. It's available in different body sizes, and the Van can also be a "Floor Cab" version. All engines are diesel and have power outputs of 95, 125, and 145 hp.

El Renault Master It is Renault's largest product. offered as Combi, transport goods closed and transportation of goods open, there are many configuration possibilities and adaptations. In the Combi model there is a version that can carry up to 17 occupants. It can be configured with different combinations of height, length and vehicle type. Mechanically it can be purchased with powers of 130, 145 and 165 CV.
