The Japanese manufacturer Honda is one of the most reputable and important in the world. Globally, it is the largest producer of engines , and its model sales volume consistently places it among the top ten automotive groups worldwide. However, its model range in Europe and Spain is limited to just four . Despite this, the interior quality, reliability, technology, and mechanical options of its models are a step above those offered by its rivals.
The Honda Jazz is the entry-level model in the lineup . This car is a direct competitor to the Seat Ibiza, Opel Corsa, and Peugeot 208; however, its minivan-like design and limited engine range prevent it from achieving the sales figures it deserves. In terms of interior quality, equipment options, and safety, it's among the best in its class. A slightly lower price could significantly improve its market position.
Honda's best-selling model is the Civic . The tenth generation of this compact car is the largest and most revolutionary of all. It debuts a new platform with a multi-link rear suspension and features a completely redesigned exterior. Mechanically, in addition to incorporating the 1.6 i-DTEc diesel engine with 120 hp , it introduces modern, downsized gasoline engines. It debuts a 1-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine with 129 hp alongside a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 182 hp . This generation loses the Sport Tourer body style of its predecessor but gains a four-door hatchback version to replace the discontinued Accord. The highly anticipated Type R version will arrive with a 2-liter gasoline engine producing 320 hp.
The SUV trend has also taken hold at Honda, and the HR-V serves as the entry-level model in their lineup . This model is a direct rival to the Jeep Renegade, Fiat 500X, and Mazda CX-3, but compared to them, it offers a more spacious and usable interior and a slightly higher level of build quality. Its engine range includes two options: a 130 hp VTEC gasoline engine and a 120 hp i-DTEC diesel engine. Its technological and safety features are top-notch , but it is only available with front-wheel drive.
The CR-V SUV closes the Honda range in Spain. Together with the 4-door Civic, it is the largest model of the firm, but due to its dynamic behavior it does not seem so. Its interior quality, technology and habitability place it among the best in its category. On a mechanical level you can count on V-TEC petrol and i-DTEc diesel units up to 160 hp as well as a new automatic cut gearbox with 9 relations. The traction can be to the front axle or to the four wheels although its natural habitat is on highways and cities.
