It must be acknowledged that commercial vehicles aren't particularly appealing to the general public, but thanks to recent developments, they've gained traction in the market as a housing alternative to the almost extinct compact MPVs. With this philosophy in mind, the Tourneo Connect focuses more on family than on commercial use . A versatile vehicle for those who need a functional tool for every occasion.

In 2002, Ford decided to enter the smaller commercial vehicle segment. Until then, it had focused primarily on developing various body styles for the Ford Transit . The Tourneo Connect arrived with the same robustness and capability. It's a 1.5 EcoBoost engine with 114 horsepower and 220 Nm of torque . Power is delivered through a six-speed manual transmission or, optionally, a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. All powertrains are developed by Volkswagen.
